Much timber is wasted in landfill and in burning off and I am happy to use reclaimed timber and recycle it to produce unique, one-off pieces of furniture that are useful and appealing without further damaging our fragile environment by using non-renewable resources.
Bushblocks can be utilized as additional food preparation areas in any home siutation. Because of their unique design, they suit any decor from ultra modern to colonial and anywhere in between. The Bushblock is the ideal addition to the modern trend of outdoor kitchens centred around barbeques and wood fired ovens.
The original blocks were very rustic and have evolved over the years recently incorporating vegetable racks, scrap bins, cupboards and wine racks but they retain their essential ingredients of kiln dried hardwood timber surfaces, recycled hardwood timber bases and original hooks and handles. All Bushblocks are on rubber castors for ease of movement between rooms if necessary, and for cleaning. Rubber castors will not damage timber floors.
Timber is beautiful to work with as no two pieces are ever the same and each has its own history and that is why I continue to enjoy the process of making them. Visitors from around Australia and the world have admired them and many have been sold to places far and wide including a gallery in New York, homes in Washington, Colorado, Hawaii, Malaysia, London and most states in Australia.
